Fossickers Fine Food & Eatery is an espresso, wine bar, store and art space [The Folk Experiment] located in the tiny heritage town of Talbot in the Victorian Goldfields known as Djarra, the unceded lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung, whose living culture has endured for thousands of years. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

High Tea & History
Saturday, 14 March 2pm
Visit the heritage town of Talbot and enjoy High Tea and History featuring an exhibition, Talbot in Relief by local craftsmen, Bernie Crumpler, curated by Felicity Martin. Bernie has been capturing this charming town with it’s nineteenth century facades, building dioramas and reliefs using wood and found objects.
Fossickers Fine Food & Eatery resides in London House, erected in 1883 by William Phelan, replacing the original 1860’s building destroyed by fire. Originally an “Outfitters” for local miners and their families, London House is now a cafe, wine bar, store and art space.
Enjoy a leisurely afternoon tea with a selection of homemade cakes, tarts and sweet things, with a selection of open sandwiches and warm savoury pastries. Meet the Artist behind these charming dioramas capturing the historical buildings of this quaint town. We will also take a leisurely stroll to view the buildings in their surroundings.
